Anyone ever listened to very early Pink Floyd albums, e.g. Ummagumma, A Saucerful of Secrets, Atom Heart Mother? It's very imaginative music which will probably appeal to people with Asperger's (It did to me when I was a teenager and still does now). _________________ I was born in Perth, Scotland in 1957 and spent my early teenage years in an adolescent psychiatric unit, about which I wrote at the age of 17 in my novel "The Madhouse of Love" (Chipmunkapublishing 2011). Now live in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh.
The only kind of music I don't like is (mainstream?) rap/hip hop. It's so simple and repetitive, there's nothing actually to listen to there in my opinion. Some songs may have amusing lyrics, though, but I wouldn't really listen to a comedy show as music either, haha.
That being said and a possible flamewar starting (sorry), I prefer metal the most. It has so many subcategories, that it feels fresher than most other genres.

I could get really into this since I love music but I'll just make it short. I love finding new bands to listen to so I have many but my favorite band is The Hives. I mostly listen to Hardcore punk and Melodic punk. But anything from D-beat (the heaviest I like) to indie punk.

I listen to a lot of rap, some rock (any kind of rock), and whatever sounds good to me (anything from songs sung in languages like Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian to some pop). I don't listen to as much radio as I used to.
