I don't like most current music. About the only current song I like is "Born This Way." Otherwise I like ABBA and show music. Favourite shows are Chess (the score of which was written by the guys from ABBA) and Wicked.
I listen to classical. I also listen to The Beatles and the music of that era from America, Britain, Europe, Japan... and tons of music pre-1980, basically. As far as more recent stuff goes, I listen to... well, why don't you just look at my last.fm charts. It's hard to describe what I listen to because I listen to so many different things.

The music I listen to is very atypical for my age, however, most adults seem to like it.
The band is called "Great Big Sea" and it is really hard to describe the music they play, so here is an example:
That's a great song, I like it. This is the first song of theirs I've heard; I might just listen to more of their songs.
I mostly listen to rock and metal, particularly folk metal. Also, I grew up on 70's and 80's music, and like a lot of it, but I don't listen to it often. The English music I do listen to often is a few songs from Metallica and Flogging Molly. My music is almost exclusively rock and metal, with some Norwegian and German hip-hop thrown in, Scottish Gaelic ballads, a few pop songs in foreign languages, and several assorted songs, like Saami joiking, Manchu I-have-no-idea, Georgian and Italian rap, etc.
@JMNixon: You must really like I'm Not Alone by Calvin Harris, seeing as you listened to it like 50 times in a row.

Fusion jazz always win me over. Also, I really like asian pop music too. Especially K-pop.
My favorite artists/groups at the moment; however I will never grow out some of them are: House Rulez, Clazziquai Project, IU, BoA, Home Made 家族, capsule, f(x), 2NE1, LODVG, Utada Hikaru, SHINee, Psy, W&Whale, SNSD and Epik High.
However, I think I may also have a soft side for some 80's and 70's music too.
Almost everything.. except country really. I appreciate most classical music, and that sort of stuff but don't really listen to much of it.
My favourite genres are below
Heavy Metal ie. For Today
Metalcore ie. Underoath
Rap ie. Eminem
Hip Hop. ie. Nicolay and Kay
Electro House ie. Skirllex
Drum n bass ie, Spor
Trance ie. AVb Mixes
Alternative Rock is. Switchfoot
Post Rock ie. Sigur Ros
Ambient ie. Hammock
Hate Slipknot and Disturbed and all those sorts of bands.
I used to be into them, but I was never into the 'scene'. I listened with detached interest, because I have an open mind, but I went right back to my good old 60s and Beatles after about six months or so, and the old ballet music I listened to when around 6 years old. I love music by Kate Bush, ELO, Tchaikovsky, Simon and Garfunkel, Debussy, The Byrds etc. I have about 30 albums on my itouch but I don't listen to a great range of music. A lot of it is on LPs, so I only listen to it at home.
Horrible bands which all sound the same: blink182, sum41, skillet etc. Shudder.
Hi! I like to listen to Classical Music. My favorite is Valvadi. Rock n Roll and Pop music is way too loud and hippy for me. I like the calming and relaxing music of classical.
