I'm 27 & in some ways I feel much older because I kind of have a conservative lifestyle that is more common amongst the older generation; I have conversations with older people about how society's values/morals are going down hill. But most of the time I feel like I'm still a kid because I have very immature interest in TV, music, comedy & I think lots of high-school students are much more independent than me

this happens to me alot. . .and my general age changes. . .though i'm always younger then i really am (27).

sometimes i feel like i'm around 13 years old (though a very mature and polite 13 year old).
sometimes i feel 7 or 8 years old. very polite, very naive and trusting, and the world around me is still magical.
and sometimes i literally don't know how old i feel. not sure how to explain that one, i just don't know.

and there's been several times where someone has brought up my age, or something else makes me realize my true age (filling out papers for instance). . .where i feel shocked that i'm actually as old as i am. lol i even flat out told my councilor once that she was wrong and i wasn't that old. . .i was convinced in that moment that there was no way i could be that old.

I have the same thing. I always talk like I am older because I always compare how growing up in the 90's is than today. Plus, I always complain about how kids today glamorize things that was once taboo (like teen pregnancy) and other issues. Yet, I dress like a child, play with kids toys, and watch kids stuff and feel like a kid. I just consider myself a very smart, intelligent little girl.

It is embarrassing how young I feel, how immature I am. When I was a child I used to think, who are these people and why do they constantly tell me what to do? I never felt they had any right or power over me. I never felt secure or relaxed around them. They have always been a mystery to me. Now I think, who left me alone here today? lol It is pathetic. I'm low functioning except for work.

Confused

I feel younger than I am(3Cool, but don't have the spontaneity. Usually I feel like mid-20s to 30-ish. This is because I lack the responsibilities(career/family) of people my own age. Some of my co-workers tell me they envy my freedom, if they only knew......

Younger people usually think I'm much younger than I am, but I'm pushing forty so I'm sure this will stop soon. I also do not want to be the "old guy in the club".

I feel twice my age and act half my age. Although now that I am getting older, I act less than half my age. Used to look a lot younger than my age, but thanks to my rapid expansion of gray hair, that is no longer an issue.

I am going to be 51 years old this year and not only do I not act it, I don't look it, either. A doctor I saw this year said that when he first saw me, he had to look at my birth date in my file again, because he thought he had looked at it wrong. He couldn't believe that I was as old as 50. Most people guess me to be in my 30's but on a bad pain day, I've noticed some people guess me to be in my 40's. ugh.

I feel like a kid inside at times... but I also like hanging out with the elderly too though. I like hearing their stories. The older ones seem more tolerant of eccentric people, too. I don't mind talking to people over the computer, no matter the age. I much prefer to use text over talking.

I feel and look way younger than I actually am. My behaviour is like that from a way younger man. Possibly therefore I might have attention from younger women than the women I am attracted too.

I am a 45 year old female - yet I want to play games (board games, video games etc) - and I think I would like to spend my time doing some of the things my 20 year old son and his friends do. Also I think I enjoyed parts of being a parent because it ment I got to play with things like Lego!

I didn't enjoy parenting so much when it was my job to manage my son's behaviour - jees - I still struggle to manage my own!!! Embarassed

I'm 57 - well, nearly 58. And no, I don't feel that old.

My dad's 83 next week, and he tells me he still feels like he's 25. Yes, he has aspergers too.

Mind you, my partner's fairly normal and she feels younger than her age too.

Sometimes like a child, sometimes my age, sometimes much older. Someone once said our self perception is 5 years behind our actual age. If this is the case mine may be 9 years behind. Other people tell me my behavior is younger and that I come across younger. When it comes to interacting with other people I nearly always feel younger and rarely to never equal. Peers I tend to associate with always come across more mature and socially and mentally able when they deal with each other. Their interaction with me never feels as balanced.
