I'm sorry about what happened. Your situation seems similar even if it's a phrase. How often would you repeat the phrase in your head? Did it eventually stop? Lastly, did it get to a point where you needed help for it (psychologist/psychiatrist?)

Long story short, I became very guilty and filled with anxiety due to an event from the past with a friend.
