Hi and welcome. I have 21mth old twins, we realised they had ASD at 16 months and got our official diagnosis at 18 months. I started telling people we we believed they had autism and were pursuing a diagnosis straight away (as well as researching and arranging our therapy). I mainly wanted to reply ...

It is a huge relief, I am so excited. I have been really happy to find a great speechie and OT who are on board philosophically with the approach I want to take, and now to have this professional level of oversight for our whole program is going to really help us maximize Holly and Kate's potential....

Thanks for your feedback Bkdad82. I think for us what we are intending to do with ESDM is pretty different from ABA, though we are keeping an open mind as to whether ABA might be appropriate when they are older. I think you are right that finding the right therapists is key. It's encouraging to hear...

Hi all, My 18mth twins with Holly and Kate were diagnosed with autism last week, we have known that the diagnosis was imminent for about two months so have had a chance to do some research and planning. My girls are very active physically and big time sensory seekers including lots of cuddles and th...

Hi Shadownhunter, I realise it has been a year since your post but I wanted to check in and say hi. My twins are 18 months and currently being diagnosed with ASD. I am in Melbourne, Australia too and so I know your predicament with most treatment being funded out of pocket. I have been reading the e...
