I've been single for 7 months now. At times it can be difficult to cope, and I am constantly trying to find ways to keep my mind off it. I keep telling myself that it is best that I wait for when the time is right, but sometimes that's not good enough. I really don't expect to find anyone in the nea...

[QuoteI am very sensitive to noise, so your birds sound like my worst nightmare. [/QUOTE]

Likewise! I've always hated anything loud, including thunderstorms and motorcycles. Luckily where I live, thunderstorms are very uncommon, I only hear thunder maybe 5-10 times a year.

There are quite a few here from Oregon - you may actually run into a 'real live Aspie' where you live! Smile Welcome! Don't feel intimidated, we (mostly) don't bite. (mostly). Actually, I already know one, have known one since I was 10 :P he's one of the few friends I've kept over the years, we ten...

When I was younger, I was probably the smallest guy in class, and one of the least aggressive. During my middle school years, I avoided bullying by hiding behind a well-defined alias of myself. Though I was still the same person, I tried to fit in with everyone who would have otherwise bullied me ar...

I have never taken an official IQ test, but when I get the money, I'm gonna apply to join MENSA, then we'll see my "scientific" IQ. I've taken multiple online tests, many of them I achieved the maximum score on (150 or 180 are the usual upper limits for online tests, achieved by selecting the most i...

Therefore, zero in itself becomes a paradox, if it stands for both something and nothing at the same time.

It is, however, interesting to note how many people do treat zero as a number. The symbol "0" is more of a placeholder than anything else. When you have nothing, 0 is there to hold the place. Same with when you have a number such as 100 or 1000. There is nothing in the ones or tens digit, so the zer...

Being a penguin-enthusiast, I saw this movie the week it came out. They did an excellent job with the CG animation, but I wasn't really into the whole "singing penguins" bit. I loved baby Mumble though, he was awesome! Overall, I'd recommend the movie to anyone. Though March of the Penguins was a be...

Consider these statements to be true: 1. Any number divided by zero gives an undefined output. 2. Zero divided by any number equals zero. 3. Any number divided by itself equals 1. Now, let's take a look at the following expression: 0/0 That's zero divided by zero. According to rule number 1, the res...

You don't even have to build your own, just get one from a better company. Compaq and eMachine are the two computer companies known for making low-quality computers, for the purpose of selling the cheapest computers on the market. I'd recommend a Dell, Gateway, or Intel machine, though they cost mor...

I use quite a few, including Pascal Penguin, Ziquaw, Waddly The Penguin, Maelstrom, and even my real name...Occasionally I'll copy a name from a game, for example, I've used the name Goomba (the wimpy mushroom enemy on Super Mario Bros)

I highly doubt this would happen, but in the case that the United States did approve a bill reinstating the draft (Democratic representative Charles Rangel of New York has introduced the bill before, and plans to again in the future), would those with Asperger's Syndrome be exempt from being drafted...
