| Always and I still do it to this day. I can do so many sound effects and voices it's ridiculous. I know someone by their voice way faster than their name. When I am watching something animated I can name actors with surprising accuracy. I remember I was at work one time and started making screeching... |

| Im an aspie female and I have always shown empathy towards animals. I always brought strays home. If it was a bird or whatever if I saw it in need I would take it home and let it go when it was better. So much so that people used to tell me to be a veterinarian. I just love all of Gods creatures...... |

| BirdInFlight I think a quiet day would be a fabulous idea. AspieUtah that is it exactly. They are getting paid to research children. Genetic research is a difficult subject and finding a cure could be 1 or 100 years away. I feel like in the meantime more focus can be on maintenance of the disorder. ... |

| Probably. Most of us adults are self-diagnosed first. Set up a video camera and see what you catch yourself doing. I did that and saw myself stemming. |

| I promise I feel the same way. For all my life my self awareness has been my driving force. Since I have realized I am an aspie, I too am re-evaluating everything too. It sometimes gets overwhelming and I try to focus on something else. I think its ok to do that as long as I dont get depressed about... |
