There are no absolutes. Some people are capable of maintaining a platonic relationship, some aren't. Those who are not capable of maintaining a platonic relationship would be wise to avoid trying.

The performer is very knowledgeable about hypnotic induction, and this is a great induction. I had a little chuckle when he suggested "staying up past your bed time" right before Mr. Mandel actually went under. From start to finish he is priming and reinforcing Mr. Mandel for the actual in...

I take clonazepam for anxiety; depending on the level of anxiety. I take .5 mg for intense anxiety and 1mg for a full blown panic attack. I find it very helpful, I don't feel drugged up at all when I take it, and compared to Ativan three times per day it is a much better fit for me. If I stay active...

The longest, most serious relationship in which I have ever been lasted nearly a decade. I think part of what held it together for so long is that we never cohabitated. I love my alone time. I am happiest when I am alone, but that doesn't mean I don't want a mate. I just need my space, and she unde...

Have you heard of Peter Mangs? He's a maniac spree shooter from sweden. He also, incidentally, has Asperger's Syndrome. That stirred up a lovely little shitstorm if misinformation back when. People who had never heard of Asperger's until that point went to Wikipedia, found some barely coherent desc...

The only time someone pulled that "that's your autism talking" on me was a creation "scientist" trying to dismiss my atheism as a symptom of autism (and therefore wrong). Then I ate him. Wow. Just... wow. Autism causing atheism? I don't mean this disrespectfully, but I can't sta...

I hunt and fish. I hunt mainly with a rifle or shotgun, depending on the prey, though I am saving up for a good compound bow so I can hunt deer locally (regulations allow only bow hunting for deer near me). I don't feel bad for taking a life for three reasons: I only hunt for food, not exclusively s...

You choose self-loathing, that's fine, that's your decision. I don't judge you for it. I am proud of my achievements and of who I am, the struggles I've faced and overcome and the challenges yet to be conquered. I define my successes, choose how I learn from my failures, and I am the only one on thi...

I grew up in a very abusive household. My father is a very sick, unstable person. For those familiar with Cluster B Disorders he's a severe APD. Thing of it is that my mother and I were the targets of his abuse, he showed his version of love to two of my brothers and has nothing to do with my younge...

I wouldn't say I was bullied, more someone completely misunderstood something I said and aggressively took off sprinting in the wrong direction.

Which is funny, because I just finished one and expected that since I need a refill, you should need a refill.

I am being facetious there.

I'm more of an "I-theist".

I decide my morals and values. I can change them as my world view changes. I define my successes and failures. I and I alone am responsible for my decisions, actions, and their rewards or consequences.

Simply put, because individuals have their own sets of morals and beliefs that may or may not differ from someone else's, and it is solipsistic to project one's own morals and beliefs upon others.

When I was diagnosed last year, I told my best friend/ex because I knew it would clear up a LOT of misunderstanding in regards to the things I did and, to a greater degree, the things I didn't do in our relationship. By the end of that conversation we were closer than ever. She had suggested I tell ...
