What you’re describing sounds really tough, especially if your nephew has autism or ADHD. Parenting isn’t easy for anyone, but parents often adapt in ways outsiders don’t see. They find patience they didn’t know they had and get moments of love that make the struggles feel worth it.

Late reply, but leaving this resource here: Legacy Healing Center – besides addiction treatment, they also have mental health programs. For us, it was helpful to have a place that considered both aspects together.

If it’s not causing any functional issues, I’d personally leave it. Most people don’t even notice these things unless you point them out.

I quit ballet for a while too, but going back was one of the best things I did for myself. Muscle memory is amazing—you’ll be surprised how quickly your body remembers the steps.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to share my experience too. I turned to Minimal about six months ago and finally managed to lose the extra weight that was holding me back.What really made the difference was having a clear plan and someone to keep track of my progress.

You don’t necessarily need a formal diagnosis if you’re already finding resources and self-understanding helpful. Many people live fine with self-identification. A diagnosis is more useful if you need accommodations or medical documentation.
