I don't mind it when they're making a point that is relevant, sometimes it's amusing that something from a few years ago is still relevant. I do however disagree with necrobumping for the sake of necrobumping and I'll echo the need to remove the 'Similar Topics' at the bottom of the page or stop it ...

I still get a newspaper that I read every day, and I'll watch a little bit of news on TV, but usually from the BBC News channel that my cable has because it's more balanced than any of the US networks. I can't comment on BBC International but the BBC News here in the UK is far from unbiased. I don'...

Welcome to Wrong Planet, Have you tried to get an official diagnosis? I was diagnosed with traits a few years ago but the doctor I'm seeing now says the original examination wasn't completed and her opinion is that if I've got traits then I should've been diagnosed with AS so I'm now in the process ...

Although, what really bugs me, is when a student does something really bad, and the worst they get is a slap on the wrist. Seriously, we're not toddlers. These idiots need more discipline than that! What I found ironic in my school was that when a student hit another in the face, breaking his nose,...

I don't talk to myself in the way you described that you do. In my case it's generally just muttering mental notes or rhetorical questions to myself.

SystemD seems to get a lot of hate, but it works fine for me. OpenRC isn't bad either, from what I remember. That's pretty much the same opinion I have. I use systemd because it's what comes with Arch and it works, I understand why people hate it but I'm too lazy to switch to SysV when systemd work...

Atos have a VERY bad reputation for assessing people with physical disabilities as "Fit to work" (apparently a wheelchair-bound person scored zero on an Atos assessment) so I can only imagine that they're even worse with mental issues.

Good luck on appealing it, hopefully they'll see sense.

This was being discussed on the IRC so I thought I'd make a poll, personally I'll use whichever one the distro ships with.

Hi, I'm a (currently) self-diagnosed Aspie, I say currently because I am in the process of getting a professional diagnosis. My area of expertise is definitely IT and I'm currently trying to find IT work but, since I have a huge problem with eye-contact, that isn't going well. I'm also not good at t...

Even though they have a legal requirement to consider people with disabilities (both physical and mental) fairly against "normal" people, they don't. For example I was recently told I had missed out on a position to someone "with a little more experience" after an interview despi...
