Miranda, your original question had to do with treatments for AS. As you said, there really isn't a cure because it's a syndrome, not a disease. But there are treatments. There's medication in the form of atypical neuroleptics or atypical antipsychotics which work on dopamine and serotonin receptors...

I definitely don't have an anxiety problem. When I'm interacting with other people, I never feel scared or embarassed, but I always drive them off for some reason. It's like I just can't figure out how to make small talk, or how to become close friends with anyone. I just don't know how to do it, n...

KenM I understand your frustration, and have felt it myself... but we are not ret*ds... we just have to work cognitively to learn what others learn intuitively... yeah I hear what you're saying about God too.. I've said it all myself... dammit... i was married once and it ended badly... my relations...

so much pain in all your messages... i'm aspie and gay... not sure which came first, maybe both simultaneously... not a transie... just an American guy looking for others who might help with this journey... such a challenge to navigate gay culture, though i've made some strides, can't say i'm happy ...
