Intersexuality is a disorder, no matter how you look at it.

I'm sorry.

It's not like homosexuality, which is supposedly 'ok,' it's a physical and statistical anomaly.

Though I would like to see, I am curious.

What exactly is a futurist?

That sounds like some sort of radical ideology more than a professional in statistical extrapolation, not that that's a bad thing.

But under what circumstances may the technology acquire consciousness and spirit?

I suppose we can't answer that until we find out where we got ours. :D

I find the issue of how offensive it is to be much less pertinent than how accurate it is. "Autism Spectrum Disorder" is accurate, as a disorder implies, to me, a permanent state in which the individual is in and cannot be cured, as it is hard-wired, whereas "Condition" seems to me like something th...

Warning! Obsession Alert! You needn't alert us, as you are in good company with your intensity of obsession. I also am very much into what could be called esoterica, or maybe occult. I just don't usually buy into the whole psychic powers/crystals/magick spells thing. I'm more into the quantum physi...

I just got a tarot deck and was wondering if any of you reached stumbling blocks regarding limited intuition and lack of focus while getting accustomed to reading them? I am sure the prevalence of Aspie interest in the Cards is widespread, since we always lean towards the mystical and fantastic. But...

Drinking parties were also something that seems to prove advantageous to me. The girls are pretty much ready and nobody is particularly astute in the situation, so usually the fact that I'm quick witted and well behaved seems to set me apart from the rest. Plus you get a lot of chit-chat practice, w...

I think that "playboy bunny" and "lardbucket" are extremely apt terms, as far as theoretical postulation goes. That is what we're up to, and what we're best at, right? The issue at hand is compromising on your original physical standards in order to fulfill your romantic aspirations. If you are offe...

I do agree that social conventions are not arbitrary, as they do arise from the utilitarian aspect of maximum good for the most people. I would not, however, suggest that this means that they are based on rationality. Take for instance the motif of many of our lives as entities with AS, intelligent,...

I'm actively promoting the use of marijuana by anyone who can benefit from its effects. The side effects are next to none, especially when it is not ingested by smoking. Also, it's more effective over a longer period of time when ingested orally, whether through a tincture (my fave) or baked goods (...

IMHO, marijuana is one of the most effective and safest methods to manage the anxiety and social timidity that comes with AS. I prefer a tincture form (leave some buds in some vodka or everclear, just a dropper will do) but smoking is definitely the most fun, and opens the doors socially, so to spea...

I think that no other analogy has been more apt than the Wrong Planet analogy (oh, and boy are we prone to analogies! How else can I get others to understand what I am thinking, provided I am deaf and dumb in the greater part of the conversational transaction) so I am suggesting something along the ...

And I'm real proud of the onslaught of scathing criticism that follows at the bottom of the page. I hope the author of the article has since come around!

I read the article, and though I can understand that he is ignorant of the true nature of the spectrum and what those on it are truly like, as the general public is still highly underinformed considering the prevalence, I am deeply hurt and regretful of the fact that this is the type of publicity we...
