Well, I'll say that I'm lucky and that I usually find people who want to socialize with me before I can find anyone I want to socialize with. I've asked several people why they got close to me in the first place, and they answered that it is because I am spontaneous and honest, or because I don't ca...

I used to have a lot of troubles understanding jokes and sarcasm, but now I don't have this problem anymore. I almost always get jokes and I make a lot of them myself, sarcasm sometimes it's a bit harder to get for me but I usually understand it. I'm quite sarcastic myself, but people often don't ge...

I think I did the opposite... I was very obsessive as a child; for example, when I was in 3rd grade I liked rocks and geology and passed almost all my time researching on those topics and I hardly did anything else. This lasted up to when I was 13/14, when I became much less obsessive and my interes...

I have a brother 17 years older than me who was diagnosed with severe autism back in the '80s. I don't think he's autistic at all, though. It's true that he doesn't talk and can't take care of himself on his own, but for all the other things, he's the opposite of an autistic, so much that both me an...

I voted for "somewhat lean". I've never liked guys who were too muscular, I usually prefer the ones who are athletic but thin (with some muscles but not too much). It's embarrassing if I think about it, but the guys I felt attracted to (with a few exceptions) were usually less muscular the...

Sorry that it didn't work out for you, Chirpy. They did for me. I didn't and don't feel/am/have become dumb. For me they help me focus on the things that truly matter in my life. Rather than feeling like I drown in chaos... But yeah pills build no skills. So I can imagine they don't work miracles f...

Yeah, sometimes my mother tells me I am selfish. Pretty much every time I tell her I don't want to spend my life looking after my brother like she did but that I want to have a life and a family of my own.

I am 162 cm/almost 5'4'' and around 53 kg/117 lbs. I don't consider myself skinny, I am just normal. All other people I know who have diagnosed/suspected AS are very thin: for example, my father is 5'11'' and around 142 lbs, my former literature teacher is around 5'5'' and skinny, her son is as well...

Coming from someone who has been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD medications don't even help people with ADHD. They just make you dumb. I tried them only once and it was enough. It's better if you don't use them at all. |

I had some when I was a child, up to the age of 6. I had problems pronouncing letters like r, g or c. A psychologist even suggested I went to a logopedist when I was 5. I never did though, and it just disappeared on its own. I haven't had such issues since then.

According to what my mother said, I hardly ever cried, I was very curious about insects, I was troublesome and moved around a lot. Apparently, I almost gave my mother a heart attack a few times because I crawled to dangerous places (like the edge of the stairs), and I used to toss stuff into the fir...
