I think any reasonably, caring, logical human being could arrive at the "Golden Rule" rule without any outside source. It's quite pragmatic. If you treat others badly, it will only come back to bite you in the ass. I prefer the Jewish version which goes something like 'do not do unto othe...

Use the 'PM' button at the lower left of the post. That will open a window to the "Private Message" service. You type in the subject, the name of the member, and the message you want to send. Then click the 'Submit' button. OK, I'm really getting confused now. PMs are public messages here...

Where does your Golden Rule come from if you don't believe in the Bible?

We won't burn all of them, but we will burn all the ones that can be extracted profitably. To know the consequences, just wait and see. The consequences so far is that we keep going back to dry holes that aren't dry anymore, as they would remain if they were just small deposits of dead dinosaurs. O...

It is pretty simple. I follow Jesus Christ's teachings but regard the concept of a deity as something those who started a religion after he was long off the planet use as a ploy. I believe in a concept of continuing life rather than an afterlife, with my current incarnation merely a way station in e...

Hi! I don't suffer from being an Aspie, I enjoy it. Although, there may be quite a few I've encountered who don't. The good thing about them is that instead of trying to "help" me, they usually leave me alone, which is one of the preferred things by most with Asperger's. Anywhy, here I am....

Your homeless friend's situation is not unique. I've met quite a few homeless people over the years who, for one stupid reason or another, absolutely refuse to get themselves together.

Whose definition of "homeless", "stupid", and "together" do you use?

I've known I was eccentric since I read Dr. David Weeks' book several years ago. I recently read two books by Temple Grandin and in one she says that eccentricity is the same as Asperger's, so... I've been legally homeless since December of 1984, when I moved into the first of three vans that I have...
