My advice, get a network of friends in your area (or elsewhere if they don't mind a long distance call) and have them as fake former bosses at fake jobs you used to have. Especially useful if it's related to the job but not exactly the same as the job you are applying for.

Mine are fairly consistent regardless of job. - Inability to do true multitasking. At best I can handle 3 or 4 things at once but thats with great stress and I make some errors because of it. I need to start something, FOCUS on it, finish it very quickly and do the next one. i've even timed myself ...

I'm interested in going to something like this. Unfortunately I don't know if there are any around and I have no transportation (driving is hard!). The only way I could probably get to one of these is if I was on disability. My social skills aren't that bad but they've been crappy in recent years wi...

When I see people misusing the word I just think it's their own ignorance and not really a problem. I've been clinically depressed since I was 14 but probably with other more minor depressions on and off since I was three.

I've been diagnosed bi-polar although I don't agree with the diagnosis. I only had my first mania when I was 19 and I was on two different anti-depressants, smoking weed, and doing the occasional bottle of Robo. So I think my mania was caused by stress (failing my driver's test and diminishing grade...

I've had glasses since Grade 7. It's a pain in the ass and the nose piece always bothers me. Not to mention it clogs my pores in the areas where my glasses frames/nosepiece touch my face. I had contacts for about a year. I liked the peripheral vision, but since I have astigmatism, they slid around a...

My Mom smoked fairly heavily during her entire pregnancy and I've got mild AS. But then again, my cousin's Mom smoked during her entire pregnancy and non of them are AS. I don't think the two are related.

Your Aspie score: 155 of 200 Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 58 of 200 You are very likely an Aspie I'd say I am definitely an Aspie. I noticed mainly a couple of Aspie traits I had which I never understood when I thought I was an NT. 1) I never used body language. I just figured that people...

I can wear jeans just fine. I always found them comfortable, especially when they are almost dirty. I can't stand jogging pants as they are too loose and too fuzzy. I just got a few pairs of slacks and I detest them. They're scratchy and let in too much cold. After reading this post, I kind of got a...
