Hi all, I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. I’ve been very busy this past summer with my reporting stuff for my hockey radio program. School is starting tomorrow on the 26th for me and it is my senior year of high school. Unfortunately for an aspie like myself, the homecoming committee...

I get that but people tell me I’m ugly and stuff and I believe them and the girls are nasty and I just feel so hurt because it’s going to be four years this summer looking.

I get that I should focus on my studies and hobbies. However it just is so frustrating to see all my friends have the one thing I want: a relationship. I’m not just a crazy teenager I’ve been looking since Freshman year. Anybody from Chicago like me who knows like a youth group for aspies to hang out?

I get a lot of attention for my radio show because I have gotten hockey celebs on my show. I will hang at the mall but I don’t know how to flirt without being obvious. I can’t DJ bc of work. So how do I get into parties?

Ok here’s what I have so far:
A successful hobby (Radio broadcasting)
A car
A job
Personality (Very outgoing, tenacious etc)
An education (I’m a junior in high school)
Am I missing anything?
Let me know, and also if you have any ideas where I could/should meet a girl OUTSIDE of school.

Exactly! College is for education first! I just am ambitious and school is easy and boring so there is no challenge. All I wanted in a girlfriend was companionship. But it’s true make the best of being “abnormal” I love being me with Aspergers and wouldn’t change it because it has helped me achieve ...

That’s what people tell me about college. I just hope that this post isn’t my reality. I keep hoping and praying that it will work out.

I get that. Being patient isn’t my strong suit and it hurts me to see my NT buddies get girlfriends.
How do they come to you?

I just feel like I don’t belong on ether side of the fence. I’m a successful broadcaster but I can’t find someone for me. By psychologist tells me I’m mature like a 25 year old and it will be tough finding someone. I just feel like everything else is going right except my social stuff w girls.

I get what you’re trying to say. It’s just frustrating when all your buddies have what you want. I just want someone to appreciate me for me. I don’t put it above family but I put it above everything else is trying to find someone. Could you list out some of those places you were talking about?

But this is the problem I am mature beyond my years because I relate more to adults so I don’t have really anywhere I can go. Are there any like Aspergers conventions or other things? Just looking for someone real :-) I even had asked a celeb to homecoming and it nearly worked! I tried to do this bc...
