Hi autisticelders,

Thank you for the lovely welcome. I'm so glad having an explanation has been comforting. I'm still getting used to the idea but it has already given me a surprising amount of peace.

Hi Double Retired,

I'm glad it made you happy - it does explain so much. I's a little unnerving for me to see how much. I'd like to find someone who could help me with a diagnosis. I've been diagnosed with major depression and anxiety and I think the autism is a part of that.

Thanks for the examples - I've been looking for visual artists who were/are autistic. it helps to see how others do things.
