A few days ago, I was watching Guess How Much I Love You: An Enchanted Easter, and it was a beautiful, Spring coloured, gentle special about Little Nutbrown Hare and his friends going to find a little white fawn as it becomes Spring. So, what gentle, low-stimulating kids' TV shows or movies do you r...

Whenever I watch the montage of Percy and the animals building the treehouse in the classic Percy The Park Keeper special 'After The Storm', I always think about the Alfredo Ray cover of 'Fotoromanza', which has appeared on Putumayo's 'Swing Around The World' album. When you see a particular scene i...

Happy Monkey Around Day, and happy Pop Goes The Weasel Day! What films would you like to watch for these days, featuring monkey and weasel characters? If not, what other kid friendly films and TV series from your childhood would you watch? I would watch, for Monkey Around Day: Curious George The Jun...

Anyone here remember the HiT Entertainment DVD Ultimate Children's Favourites? It includes, in order, The Wiggles, Thomas & Friends, Angelina Ballerina, Bob The Builder, Rubbadubbers, Pingu, Fireman Sam, Kipper and Barney & Friends. My favourite show on there is the episode of Fireman Sam, w...

Well, I have autism and I have to tell you that I've found lots of imaginative play ideas on the internet. I played at running a spa one Christmas, I plan on playing more as time goes on.

Anyone here remember Winnie The Pooh Toddler? It's an old CD rom game from Disney where you play fun learning games with Pooh and his pals. I know it's aimed for toddlers, but it's aimed for grownups who like Disney too! My favourite game is the Balloon Pop game, where you have to pop balloons as Po...

I've got loads. Mine are Orko from the 2002 He Man series, Optimus Prime from Transformers Armada, Gatomon from Digimon Adventure, Mitchell, Becky and Templeton from Strange Hill High, Luke, Resus and Cleo from Scream Street, Bluey and Bingo from Bluey, Timon & Pumbaa from The Lion King, Bon Bon...

Mine are obviously Bluey and Bingo. They are the mistresses of play, and always think up new personalities for every game they play. All their friends and family always get drawn into their games, whether it's jumping in puddles or playing at being cowboys.

I never get tired of reading two books I love, mainly when I feel like it: The Berenstain Bears & Too Much TV, and The Wild Robot. The Wild Robot is an excellent read because of a science fiction character stuck in a beautiful natural paradise, complete with Disney-like animals! Can you think of...

Have you guys heard of my latest micro-fiction story, The Watchover? In this story, Orko (from the 2002 He Man series) looks after baby Furaha for a rich couple who are going out. They play lots of games and share lots of cuddles together, but when bedtime rolls around, Orko finds a way to be with h...

According to my Weird But True Disney book, the venomous Amazonian Giant Centipede, which can grow to a foot long, was the model for the character of Dean Hardscrabble in Monsters University. So, I want you to write down some story ideas for an educational story about Mrs Hardscrabble going on holid...

I always love the older eras, y'know, G1, G2 and G3, especially when the UK adverts are really soothing with just songs and stories about the ponies. " My Little Pony, My Little Pony, race you to the Cotton Candy Cafe... " I do recall seeing the first G3 ad on TV once, and from what I reme...

According to my Weird But True Disney book, near the entrance to the Slinky Dog Dash, there is a huge box for the original Rex toy. Its label reads: "$19.95" which was the year that Toy Story was released. I want you to write a story set at the entrance to the Slinky Dog Dash ride, where t...
