It really varies, apparently. When I joined these forums, I entered feeling I'd be able to relate since I was officially diagnosed with a minor degree of Asperger's earlier this year. But now I think that I would have been able to relate to everyone here from, maybe, when I was in elementary school...

Come to think of it, I don't even believe in the Drake equation, it's childlike unscientific bs. Which only goes to prove that even with a PhD, some people can talk utter garbage which finds its way into college course work and text books as though it was scientific fact. The evolution of intellige...

I beleive in them because I have seen real pictures of them on TV and heard real stories about them. So you have no first hand information or experience of them then, and yet you still you believe? So what else have you seen on TV, which has caused you to believe in something? Do you believe ...

Ok, I wanna embrace being an aspie. I wanna say "I am disabled". I want to be around other disabled people and around other autistics on the spectrum. I feel normal around them. If I admit that I am an aspie, I don't feel self blame about failing at things in the past or possibly in the future. I d...

Why do you believe that MOST people with AS believe in UFO's? (You obviously mean alien visitation/Area 51 nonsense). I don't, and I happen to be a keen astronomer. The night sky and all what is visible in it, is my hobby. I would argue that since most Aspies have highly critical, logical and analyt...

I mean LOTS of things, but WWI and WWII are certainly a start. Let's face it. If not for the U.S., the NAZIs would have WON! Britain, in fact the whole of the U.K. wouldn't even EXIST. Still, you need allies in PEACE TIME so they will be there when you need them. If not for the 20 Million Russians ...

@alienesque: Why would he not have AS? He is using it as an excuse, but I don't see how that means he doesn't have it at all. I'm just not convinced. His symptoms suddenly appearing, and UFO claims are a mite too convenient. I'm sure I read that he actually and pointedly caused considerable damage.

Could it not simply be that your condition (assuming you actually have one) is giving you a dangerously false impression of the world and reality? Maybe the ONLY threat to the breakdown of society is people who think like you and feel they have to arm themselves and/or imagine that everyone else is ...

I'm not convinced he is an Aspie. He is using this as an excuse to get out of trouble. What he did was a coordinated and destructive hacking attack. I've been following this case, I think they will trade it off with a lesser punishment, but he will be punished. Just because he 'claims' to be an Aspi...

^ in pop psychology it is known as the Victim/Persecutor/Rescuer Triangle. and i hate to burst everyones' bubbles...but each of us is usually all three.   right wing politics tend to favour a rather primitive scenario that creates an enemy WITHOUT and BEYOND. (see the Bush's terms o...

Couldn't we all just stop listening to RIGHT-WING Shock Jocks, Jack Van Impe and other deluded Liars and accept that it's not as bad as some people claim and that Civil Unrest/revolution/breakdown of society is just not going to happen. You guys make us all sound like members of a New World Order co...

From your postings I'd think you are very rational.

Sometimes I notice things in me I never noticed before. I remember awhile back there was a thread here asking about if you get upset when people do things differently than you. I think I said in it I don't care how people do things and I used to care how they did things. But I realized now I do ind...
