When I told my optometrist when she asked if there was anything new, she said she was also AuDHD. When I tell my friends they’re like, “oh that’s why we get along so well.”

I feel like that last post could have used a disclaimer. I am AuDHD too, but I don’t like that the first article and second article are giving people the impression that it would be like suffering. Even though autism and ADHD are seeming opposites (e.g., ADHD is known for poor memory but autism is k...

It sounds to me that in a perfect world we wouldn’t have to mask or be overly secretive and private, but it isn’t. Fortunately, I don’t have to wrap my identity up with being invisible or someone no one really knows because I am happily married now and choose who I surround myself. The person who wa...

I’ve come across videos saying that INFJs (personality type) are neurodivergent, and I know that even though INFJs are rare, they are all over the Internet. So is it really autistic space or is it also ADHD space. Can the claim really be made that autistic space came before other neurodivergents fou...

In response to the article, I see that the autistic community has some similarities with the adoptee community. What I mean by that is that the narrative is held by people who either “don’t have skin in the game” or people who hold authority over. I also mean that we’ve all heard one particular word...

This is why I prefer working with men. When I worked with mainly women, they put me in a performance plan thing because I didn’t know the unspoken rules. Also, in my most recent job, I was confronted over not knowing unspoken rules near the end instead of them explaining it to me at the beginning. T...

I’m also GNC, so thanks for sharing. Saying nonbinary is just easier if people don’t want your whole story. However, I don’t think GNC should be taking up so much space in the acronym. I personally use TLGBQ+ because GNC is kinda covered by the T. Some people still say GLBT, and I kinda look at them...

Responding to the OP, I was in the S rooms (12 steps) about a decade ago. Now I’m sexually anorexic but not asexual, which is common after giving up an addiction.

I used to be obsessed with the idea of homeschooling, but I was more interested in learning and thought that would translate to teaching and child-rearing, which it does not. Then I became an anti-natalist. However, some anti-natalists adopt. That’s not me. I don’t support the adoption industrial co...
