I for one, am Pagan (which has nothing to do with anything but Nature). I believe that everything has a common thread and I believe that Native Americans probably had most things more right than any other religious myth--because they are ALL myths. Isn't it all just to make us feel better about dyin...

If you think about it, when you become a Christian you give up a certain amount of personal responsibility and therefor lend yourself more to brainwashing. So, given a tool like the Bible, all one needs to truly manipulate the masses is a smooth tongue to create "faith." So as people give themselves...

Are there any of you that have used Medical Marijuana (or experimented)? How about anything else? What were the results?

The only word she actually has said with regularity and context is, "dad" or "dada." :o) At about one year she was saying, "no" and "mama" and "baba," but those all got lost, she quit clapping and shaking her head too. Now she can say "baba" sometimes when she really gets upset and we're withholding...

You know, I never really thought about the fire retardent. But it makes sense to me. As for the DAN doc we see, he's an Osteopath so most of his methods are natural and non-invasive, which we like quite a bit. He'd much rather prescribe us Elderberry tincture as opposed to antibiotics. So, I appreci...

I completely understand parents who try the DAN protocol because we are societally conditioned to believe that children should learn and behave a certain way. I don't really like to get caught up in the semantics of what a disease is or isn't, I only want to do what's best. In terms of it being "qua...

Thanks for all the replies! I think I need to clarify a couple of things.... First, I'm not trying to "cure" anything. I'm hoping the treatments will help her feel better because there are physical symptoms that stem from an unhealthy body. Secondly, I'm actually extremely opposed to treating ASD wi...

Hi everyone, I have to say I am really glad I found this forum! I'm really trying to understand what my daughter is going through. Can you all help me? We're following the DAN! protocol, the GF/CF, corn free, soy free, banana free, apple free diet, etc. Does this help any of you? Also, she hums a lo...

We're trying to follow the DAN! protocols to help our 2 1/2 y.o. with ASD. Has anyone else gone through this and found it to help? What have been your experiences with it either as the parent trying to help or the person being "treated?"

Our daughter also has trouble sleeping through the night sometimes. We've narrowed the reasons down to a few variables (I think). First we started giving her Melatonin. Then we started noticing that certain foods also made her a litltle "crazy" so we've been eliminating the "stim foods." Also, we fo...

My daughter is 2 almost 3 y.o. and still non-verbal. She WANTS to talk, that is apparent. She is excellent with PECS and some sounds are starting to emerge, but as of yet, the only meaningful word she can actually say is "dada/daddy." :O) We're following DAN! protocol, she has ABA and PECS, but what...
