I'd say largely to the left. I think a lot of social issues belong in your own house. Any government that worries more about marriage laws or the exact moment when a human is a human being before taking on real social problems is sick and disturbed.

Christian values and christian institutions are very different. The goal of nearly any institution with real power or influence is to freeze time.
