| I've been recovering slowly from the holidays and other health issues that have popped up since I first posted, but I wanted to update anyone who is interested of my progress so far. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to reaching out for help (caused mostly by bad past experiences), but I manag... |

| My only friend absolutely HATES Monk. Every time a commercial comes on for it it produces such an irrational anger in her. It's funny but also concerning because I have many OCDish traits, might even have it, and her fiancee has it..... :? I think the advertising for the show is really really good. ... |

My current odd ones are:
Dreadlocks
Jewelry for stretched piercings
Cow noses (real live ones or pictures of them)
Monkeys (the more unrealistic, cartoon-y, cute type) |

| 1. Figuring out my own feelings. I feel. I know that. Very strongly, and am very sensitive to other peoples feelings. It takes me forever to understand and sort them out, and then once I do, to try and figure out the correct words for them is near impossible. 2. People misreading my feelings. My ton... |

| The Connecticut Autism Spectrum Resource Center in Wallingford, CT might be able to direct you to somebody who can provide diagnoses. They also have an adult support group. http://www.ct-asrc.org/ I'm in CT but have never contacted them, so I cannot vouch for how friendly or helpful they are. I've ... |

| The Aspergers Association of New England is right outside of Boston...I'm not sure where in CT you live and how far you're willing to travel, but that's relatively close. You could probably contact them and they might be able to refer you to someone closer to you. http://www.aane.org/ The only othe... |

| Just a quick, sleepy info dump here: You're on the right track that you absoultely need someone who has dealt with ASD adults before, or they won't know what they're doing. Unfortunately I don't know about CT (hell I can't find anybody where I live in CA). There's a group called the Autistic Women'... |

But it could also refer to Cape Town, South Africa, or to Catalonia in Spain.
Sorry, should have been more specific , I'm in Connecticut, U.S. |

| I am lost. I discovered Aspergers around 2 years ago, have been researching ever since, and am almost certain I lie SOMEWHERE on the spectrum. I would leave it at that but I am struggling day to day. Barely functioning most of the time. I have already wasted time and money at a Neuropsychologist who... |

| Dreadlocks are cute, but I hear they take a lot of time, and possibly money to manage. Yes, you do have to have a good amount of patience to get through the awkward stages but that's all part of the fun I guess, at least for me. 8-9 months is usually the time when they start looking decent, sometim... |

I know I'm a little late but I've loved dreadlocks for the longest time. I've had my current set for around 10 months now.
They are sorta orangey-red now, but I am contemplating going darker and more purple sometime soon. Or pinkish? I still can't decide. lol |

| I've had type 1 diabetes for 7 years. Been on a pump for most of that time. Never had severe problems with my lows. I am extremely sensitive to any lowering of my blood sugar so that's probably the reason. My little sister has type 1 also and had horrible problems when she was little. Lots of seizur... |
