Thanks guys. I've had a bit of a play with Access and that should be good for now. If it's a long term interest (not just the latest sparkly thing to catch my attention) then I'll look into SQL. |

I got 27 this time, but I've done this before with a psychologist and didn't do so well. It's a lot different doing it online than with another person present. For some of them I had to mimic them to see what that expression feels like. Others I had to picture the rest of the face. Mostly it was a c...

I have trouble sticking to routines, so I've been trying to make lists to keep focused. It doesn't always work though. At the moment I've got a word document open on the computer with a list of chores to get done today. Then I can just pick something off the list (doesn't have to be in order, becaus...

I think it would be ok to email his sister, just to find out that he's ok. Don't use her as a go-between, just find out his status and leave it at that. Then once you know he's ok, STOP WORRYING! :D I really think you're reading too much into it. He doesn't think like you. *Click here* This sums up ...

It's hard when you care about someone but are powerless to do anything about their problems. But an aspie wanting time to himself, that's not really a problem! I tend to lose track of time easily. It feels like only a few days since I called my mum but it would have to be at least a week, prob...

Huh? I never said people should spend money they don't have. Getting married is a huge step in people's lives, and most people choose to celebrate it. How they celebrate it is up to the couple to decide, between the two of them, as responsible adults. It's not a question of "deserving" it. A lot of ...

I'd like to make a program or something that can store information in a way that can link things to other things, and can be searched. It's a kind of vague concept, and I don't know how to explain it properly. If I used my work as a practice example, I'd like something where I can store details abou...

I think a bride planning a wedding is a lot like an aspie with a special interest  You don't need to understand why it's important to her, just that it is . She should know you well enough by now to know you're not the type to gush over flower arrangements. Just listening should be enough. If y...

I told my sister, because we're close. Plus she's got young children, so I though she deserved to know about the genetic side of things. I haven't told anyone else in my family. I don't trust my mum to keep secrets, and I think my brother wouldn't understand. It's not really something I'm ready to s...

I've been driving on my own for about 10 months now. Horns and sirens still make me anxious, but I think I'm getting better. I'm still nowhere near normal reactions though. It makes me jumpy even when it's nothing to do with me. If I'm starting to panic, I concentrate really hard on the little stuff...

I have to wear hiking shoes in winter due to my clumsiness trying to walk on snow and ice in casual shoes or even sneakers. So the only thing that looks right with hiking shoes is jeans. So I suppose sweaters and cardigans with jeans is what I will wear till warmer weather. I've never lived in snow...

I knew he meant: "I will be in the shower for a short time" But I imagined: a wet naked male hopping up and down  He said: "I never used... |

Will you have much income other than the money your mother has? $10 000 won't last that long if you're paying rent on a whole house by yourself, and getting all of the things you need for the house. You could find out what rent costs in your area by looking online or in the realestate section in new...

I don't go out partying, but I still socialise to a level sufficient for my needs. - I talk to customers at work, because I have to but also to get some interaction. It's mostly boring smalltalk, although sometimes it's good. - Work people are a bit more interesting. They're my friends, but I don't ...

He's not controlling at all. The decision is entirely up to me. He knows that and agrees with it. He's not stopping me, even though he doesn't think it's necessary. He's not making an issue out of it, I am. Because I love him, I don't like seeing him upset. He won't talk about it because he doesn't ...
