I have always had weird visual issues. I sometimes see this dark blob thing pacing around my bed at night, I used to see a dog sitting there, shadow people on walls... but I see static in the dark and I can trip out on it and it becomes faces or things if I focus on it. Yes, it's the exact same wit...

Thank you to everybody who replied to this. I'm sure I read somewhere (maybe on here, actually) that some people with AS do seem to display symptoms from delusion or thought disorders. I'm not sure whether or not it's true, but it seems to make sense. I still half believe that people can read my tho...

I wear my hair quite short, don't wear any make up, almost always wear men's shirts and waistcoats with bloke-y trousers and Doc Marten style boots, and I also have a girlfriend, but people rarely pick up on that, which is a little odd. I've been told that it's hard to tell which way I'd go, which m...

I have high functioning Asperger's Syndrome, but am beginning to wonder if I'm also experiencing symptoms from other disorders. Specifically, I'm not sure whether or not a pattern of visuals I've had for a proportion of my life could be counted as hallucinations, and if so, whether there is anything...

I'm not in university yet, but I found the transition from high school to sixth form to be wonderful; a vast improvement. It was probably because I was stuck doing a high proportion of subjects I didn't like, to the extent that I had to spend lessons in the sick bay of my school because I couldn't c...

I was at my Gran's when I heard about this. She doesn't know that I've been diagnosed with Aspergers, but she's very 'politically correct' and was saying to me that he should definitely be let off due to his 'mental disability.' To be honest, I don't think it's fair to focus solely on him being AS. ...

Thanks, I've spent awhile planning that out.

The board description mentioned role-playing, so I figured this might be the best place to put this. But... move it or delete it if that's wrong. I know there's quite a lot of sci-fi fans on this site, so I thought I might ask if anybody was interested in joining my new site. It's based around a cre...

My name is Rachel, better known as Kuroshokora. I am sixteen years old, have reddish-light brown hair and brownish eyes. I usually wear all black, or a black shirt and jeans, or at least one item of black. I like to wear baggy men's shirts and either my cropped studded jacket or my fake leather jack...

Wow. Weirdly, I was on my way to this board to create this exact thread. My favourites are Sylar, Matt, Peter and Luke. I know most people hated Luke, but he's the type of character I like. I roleplay as him on a site of mine. I like Mohinder on and off; I can never decide whether I like him or not....

Gromit, thank you so much for your detailed answer. And everybody else who replied; you've all been so helpful. Firstly, I think that she is very impulsive. I've had a conversation with her about this. She knows that what she does hurts me, but at the time she thinks 'this will be fun' and then whet...

Going back to fiction, I believe that people with AS are much better at picking up plots etc. than NTs due to the logical patterns that fiction usually follows. Personally, I much prefer fiction to real life due to this; I empathise with fictional characters far greater than real people, probably be...

I agree with zer0netgain about control rather than co-ordination. At school, I was good at hockey because I had the guts to take the ball from other players. However, once I had that ball, I could not hit it in a straight line. I can keep hold of a basketball, but I cannot shoot hoops. I really can'...
