That's so awful. :(

It sounds like it was some kind of communications mixup from the rescue team. With so many people talking and overhearing and being desperate for good news, I guess I'm not too surprised. But still, I just can't imagine. :(

This happens fairly frequently, and it's not limited to aspies. The issue is that schools don't have a whole lot of authority to deal with physically disruptive children. They're not law enforcement agents; teachers and staff just aren't trained or authorized to deal with that in a safe way. What ar...

Great apology. I'm sorry, but you're to blame! Great snide remark. I'm sorry, but there's no excuse for anyone over the age of ten to resort to crude name-calling. You yourself called it "inappropriate." Now, I did apologize for making her uncomfortable, and I think I was fairly generous about it, ...

I struggle with my sexuality every day. My greatest wish for at time, and probably still is, was castrating myself and finally becoming totally asexual. If you look at the "Romance" forum, I've written about a girl who was interested in me online, but whom I was too scared and too paranoid to actua...

She probably cried because she was happy that her client left. Well, I'm sure that fits in better with your worldview, but I'm afraid it's just not the case. We spoke about it at length. I realize more and more that she is unique, or at least very, very rare, among escorts, but she did feel that wa...

Power over men, however, comes in many forms, including the ability to stop a relationship forming and back out of a relationship they do not like. The second both genders have, anyone can back out at any time; but because of the nature of forming relationships, men rarely have the first. That is w...

I suspect that that crying and "happyness" from her side was fake and sarcastic. Yes, you said this before. It wasn't fake or sarcastic. I'm not a client of hers, just a conversation partner, so she had no reason to feed me a line. She was getting some things off her chest, and you could tell from ...

I was offended because you thought I was an object first, a person second. That's really nasty stuff, and I don't like being treated as some object to be passed around and talked about as if my set of morals and opinions must be stereotypically 'whore' because that's how I happen to earn a living. ...

It comes and it goes! :D So how are you doing with it all, rearden? It must be a big change to have it out in the open. It's great that you've gotten comfortable enough to start telling people. I just want to say one thing, though: don't feel like you're lying to anyone if you don't tell them. Your ...

So there you have it.. He was more accepting of me being homosexual than being an aspie! I thought that was kinda funny. All in all, it really went over well. It sounds like it wasn't that he wasn't accepting of your being an aspie, he was just worried about the personal problems it might casue for...

Because when you ask why enough and find out why you really do things you at some point need to make a leap of faith assumption which you usually(NT's do this practically all the time) feel strongly about. Agreed. Pyraxis said it well: Logic is a method used to follow a set of premises to their nat...

Yes, but why? What is the underlying reason for this custom?

I'm frankly surprised at how long the custom of the man paying for everything on a date has continued. Women have been fighting for equality for a long time, and I don't see why that doesn't apply to dating, too. Chivalry still enjoys positive status in our society, but it's based on the archaic not...

Yeah, but not that close. Not to three significant digits.
