There are three songs that immediately come to mind as epic. The first song (which happened to be playing when I saw this thread) is Tool's Aenima. I love the way it builds into the slide guitar part that breaks the tension so perfectly. ...

r The music industry is changing massivly tho, we are now considering giving away all our music for free, and devoting time to promoting live performance, viewing music downloads as a promotional tool rather than an income, takes some of the stress out of falling sales accross the globe I apologize...

I'd say Bones and her assistant Zach both seem very AS, but in different ways. My girlfriend (Tara Kelly) has a young adult novel coming out in May with a main character that's been diagnosed with a lot of different things, with the latest being AS. It's about her struggle to fit in at a new school,...

I've had a guitar for 15 years, but I really need to take some lessons. I've got the techniques down, but knowing which notes to play is hit and miss. I showed my girlfriend a few chords and she surpassed me in days...she's gifted like that. My musical strengths come in mixing, production and sound ...

The simplest solution would be a music hosting website that offers download sales. I do not know of any offhand that allow sales, but I know there are some out there. The best solution, to me, would be to look at building a site using Jamroom . It's built from the ground up to do just what you are a...

Hi all. This is a bit of shameless promotion for my girlfriend's (Tara Kelly) upcoming young adult novel, Harmonic Feedback. While Tara isn't officially on the spectrum, her brother is and she suspects I am as well. She was inspired to write a story about someone who doesn't fit, someone who's a bit...

As mentioned earlier, there are some noise reduction plugins, but any method of reducing noise will have an impact on the overall sound at that point. The key is to use the plugin only on the section with the noise. If it's a higher frequency, sort of like tape hiss, you may be able to low pass filt...

Music has been a big part of my life as long as I can remember. It's been the one constant in my life. I grew up listening to what my parents listened to: classic rock and blues mostly. We moved when I was 15 and I discovered new wave and alternative rock. It instantly became "my" music. I still lis...

I'm sorry to hear about your amp and wish I knew enough to help you out. I can tell you that playing bass through it didn't blow it. At worst, you could blow a guitar amp speaker with a bass. If that was the case, you'd hear sound, but it would sound bad.
Good luck. |

I'm not so much a musician as I am a mixer, sound designer and I do all the engineering for my girlfriend's music. I do play a little guitar and keyboards...enough to put bits and pieces together, but not full songs. I've loved music my whole life and was always drawn in by the sounds. It only makes...

Ah, this is the place I need to come to for information, then... We have some trance music, Tiesto and the like, but of course there's some singing in it and it all has the heavy dance beat. That's fine sometimes, but lately I've been trying to find something of that sort but with no singing and a ...
