What is the right thing to do in this situation? I'm a guy, and let's say there's a girl I want to talk to, but she's currently engrossed in conversation with another person. What's the right way to handle this? Go away and come back later? Walk up and cut in? I don't think it can be any worse than ...

I've only been in one relationship which lasted 8 months, and she was a blazing narcissist and highly toxic for my emotions. I was 31 at the time. I am 40 now, and to date, she has been my only relationship.

There are several women in the building where I work who I talk to in passing a lot. I would like to get to know these women, but I don't want to date them. I'm worried that if I ask them to have lunch with me, that they'll think I'm hitting on them. What's the best way to do this as a friendly gest...

Hello, Recently I went to a concert in a bar/lounge setting. It was quite crowded. Not exactly pushing against each other, but crowded enough to have to say "pardon me" a few times to get from one side of the lounge to the other. I was following a friend and got separated. I could see them but there...

OK there's a girl who lives on my floor in college who's about as old as I am (I'm 25). Here's the background info: - We're both into computer/web stuff - She's not *extremely* good looking, but I find her cute - She just seems to go along with everything - She hardly ever comes out of her room - We...

OK here's something that's been going on recently. First of all, I have 3 strikes against me appearance-wise. I'm short (5'4"), moderately heavy, and I wear glasses. Once you get past that, I'm a great conversationalist...at least that's what I've been told. Because of my being overweight, I am not ...

Wow...impressive... Here's my stats: Marginally (1-2 percent?) aspie or borderline NT/aspie 25 year old guy, in the market since age 16, 3 girls interested, 2 failed to reach even the date portion due to lack of knowledge of what to do, the other freaked me out...so far, 0 girlfriends, 0 dates, 0 ki...

I've always wondered this; what's the boundary line between dating someone and them actually being their boyfriend/girlfriend.

Holy cow... 8O Here's what I think: We probably can accomplish most of what NTs can in the way of relationships. The only difference is that while NTs do things subconsciously, we have to learn it, and then remember to do it. Theoretically, a guy can learn and practice these things, then 'fake it' l...

Time for a can of raid, as there seems to be a bug in the blogs! A question of mine was published on GroovyDruid's "Dear Aspie" blog, but it's not showing up, nor are any other posts before a certain date. One possible fix: Try removing the LIMIT clause from the blog SQL query run on the blog entries.

How depressing!

What about Eharmony.com?

For $250 (by far the most expensive dating service) they HAVE to yield SOMETHING for God's sake!

This is my first posting ever on these forums...I am male, gonna be 25 in a few weeks, and self-diagnosed, and felt it was time to get involved on this site. I have two questions for anyone who has found workarounds for these issues: First of all: I've tried touching women in harmless places, such a...
