It is my opinion that people who don't value honesty from those around them deserve neither their friendship nor to have their feelings spared. People who favor deceit and flattery over truth Are a good part of what is wrong in the world. Not to mention being completely illogical. For instance, if I...

Forum: Art, Writing, and Music   Topic: Is Winnie the Pooh is a girl or a boy?

I always assumed it was a boy, as the stories were written for the author's son and there seems to be a correlation between the tendency to anthropormorphize stuffed animals into your child's gender. Such as, if your baby is a girl there is a tendency to refer to her favorite stuffed animal as "she"...

I used to play board games by myself as more than one person. And not just simple ones like Connect 4 or whatever. Stuff like Monopoly and Risk. And often as 3-5 players. I could compartmentalize into separate players and strategies to win, and act independently of the other "Players".

Sounds like an ass. Unfortunately there are a lot of parents out there who think their kids are there to make them look good, no matter how old they get. I know its easier said than done but don't let him get to you. And unlike most, I have actually been there...

As long as parents allow the schools to have that kind of power, they will. This was on a relatively obscure website. If it was my son (which it never will be... This is why I homeschool) It would be front page of the New York Times...

I think hating men or women either one is silly. Statistically, the majority of both suck. /hating men or women is pointless when its people in general who are the problem.

I was diagnosed as an adult, but I am the mother of an 8 y/o boy on the spectrum. We recently had the talk about it, but I have the advantage of being on the spectrum too. So I was able to tell him that he thinks a little more like me than he does his dad, and was able to point out the advantages of...

I know it's not the advice you are looking for, but have you considered the ramifications of finding a woman who only wants you when you're dressed up? When I met my husband he had on a blue t-shirt and navy blue BDUs. It was 2 in the morning and his hair was a mess under a Cincinnati Reds cap. And ...

can't speak for 50+ but me and my husband are both avid gamers at 32 and 44, and have a circle of friends ranging from 30-45 or so who are too. At 27, I hadn't even gotten into gaming yet. Tell your mom I'm offended:)

Aspie or NT doesn't really matter. People in general suck. They are self-centered and judgmental and it really doesn't matter how their brain works. Not saying everyone is, but people in general. Like I've always said a person can be kind. A person can be intelligent. People, however, cannot.

Doctors can't treat symptoms they can't see and unfortunately a generation of lazy parents who just want their kids sedated until they go off to college has left them not trusting the one person in the equation who actually knows what's going on. It will be a rough day but I would take him unmedicat...
