The dichotomy (or trichotomy) between science, philosophy and religion is caused by the fact that the human intellect(in itself a mechanical process) is unable to perceive the higher dimensions necessary for reconciling the apparent contradictions. The particle/wave duality in quantum mechanics is a...

I love them both but T1 is more like my own philosophy. One shot, one kill and get away to live to fight another day.
I am not one for the big noisy showdown. I prefer surgical intervention.

Descent or not, they are still just people. You or I are not anything less than them. We all eat, digest and produce s**t in the same way.

For me my online friends can be every bit as real as my real life ones and losing them hurts just as much. One of them even for a short blessed time became the angel of my life and I met her many times for real. But I know most of them don't think the same way I do. And when people seem to disappear...

My ex gf was dx ed with schizophrenia but also has an earlier dx of bipolar. I believe the schizoaffective subtype may fit her better. Together we went through a 3 year rollercoaster of many low but especially so many wonderful amazing highs, but at some point early this year her problems caught up ...

For me the reason is that in 2008 I found out I had ADD-PI and have some aspie traits and social anxiety on top so I joined a few communities to find other people from my own planet. And being INFP, which people somehow can sense, they just kept coming to me with just about every issue in the DSM so...

To this day I am still a regular player of these two games that are otherwise largely unknown: The first is Stars! (yes, that exclamation sign is part of the name) Its a space turn based strategy game. Its rather simple but its got this 'just one more turn' effect that keeps me going. The second is ...

I think we should start to learn what the major religions REALLY said. Forget what the ground crew is telling us, read the actual words of the founders. See them in the light of today's world. Separate the ground truths from the BS. The primary message all these religions have at their core is the m...

Actually, I estimate this to be possible about a hundred years from now. I think it will be a culty thing, an article of fashion. People will first use it to eliminate shortcoming and make themselves bigger, better, stronger. But not many will radically deviate from the baseline. Its possible that p...

I agree, that is so beautiful b9. I know exactly how you feel. All love should be like that. There is so much more than just sex to a relationship. I have very much the same kind of relationship with my own gf. Because of her various issues she is psychologically unable to have sex and I have found ...

There is no reason to assume that the world will end at any specific moment just because a bunch of loons predicted it. All we can really count on is what we know and what we can predict based on the facts. The facts show that we are in are very turbulent segment of human history. The typical period...

I think like so many words, the word soul mate is used too often and thus watered down, sometimes even to the point of calling a good friend a soul mate. My definition is a lot more strict and I doubt you often get to meet more than a single soul mate in your life. I cant really say whether I buy in...
