Aimless, that's pretty obviously a case of clairvoyance. That detail about "wires" in the arms couldn't have come by any other means. WrongTime, copying other people so as to fit in is a common trait, something that everybody does. Likewise, suffering internally for not being oneself is also a commo...

Knowing things about total strangers, or at a distance, with nobody telling you? That's pretty definitely psychic input -- telempathy or clairvoyance. I'm really intrigued by the number of people on this thread who have had genuine psychic experiences.

Remarkable! So far we've had several respondents post that, yes, they've had psychic experiences -- and some interesting comments about the difficulty of "holding off" other people's emotions/thoughts/etc. Considering the comments about Borderline Personality Disorder, I have to wonder how much of B...

Hi, Kiseki. Yes, that's exactly what I mean by the effects of psychic empathy ("telempathy" for short). Yes, this shows that you do have psychic talent, and should train it -- at least enough to give yourself effective shields. Alas, I was wrong: the Rhine Institute does not recommend psychic traini...

Heheheheh. The reason we aren't all rich from winning the lottery is that psychic ability varies as much as musical talent does, and likewise needs training -- which is hard to come by. Also, very little is known about psychic ability, so "psionics" is still at the stage of being an art, not a scien...

Actually, Frogs, your hypothesis makes very good sense. There is overwhelming evidence that psychic phenomena do exist, but no one has figured out the mechanism. Your theory definitely covers all the bases. I'll risk make a further hypothesis: "psychic" energy is not on the electromagnetic spectrum,...

[quote="arondight"] Im an emotional sponge, for some reason Ive always been able to "detect" a person's mood with little or even no direct interaction and then its like it presses on my brain. The stronger the emotion, the more it affects me, sometimes to the point of shutting down. Hmmmm....

Heheheheh. Hey, everybody -- at least as kids -- does that, not just A/As. Mimicking what you see adults of your species doing is a common trait among all mammals; where do you think the term "copycat" came from? Imitating the speech-pattern of whoever you're speaking to is simply speaking the other...

[quote="ephemerella"]I have a problem that I tried to discuss with a new therapist last week. She said she's unsure it's an AS trait. It only developed in me after the age of 30. Anyways, it is a weird kind of empathy where I internalize the cognitive behaviors of others and play them in m...
