Update:

I never got a second date and we are not talking anymore. Plus she is posting facebook statuses about dates she has gone on with other guys. Oh well, I'm over it. The whole situation just fell into my lap to begin with and gave me a good boost of confidence. I will keep looking.

Harder. Sure it may be easier to lose your v-card and get laid but as far as getting into a serious relationship this is probably the hardest period of your life to do so. It is hard for NTs let alone anyone on the spectrum. I would not aim for anything serious, if it comes along then hang on to it ...

Actually it goes by a different name Communism. Libertarianism and socialism are practically polar opposites. If I have my definitions right than Ron Paul would be a Libertarian and he wants government out of people's lives. With Communism you get the gulags, the "re-education camps" and the secret...

#2 is drifting dangerously into cultural relativist territory. Is a culture that allows the mutilation of a girl's genitals without her consent equal to a culture that views this practice as wrong?

We as human beings have a fatal flaw and I see no answer to our problems. Our problem is this. We are tribal animals. Our success in the world has come through cooperating and working as a group. Think a dozen cavemen driving a Mammoth over a cliff and feeding the whole tribe. But unlike bees or an...

Wasn't sure how to vote. Would have said "socialist" - I think I have a mix of Marxist, anarcho-syndicalist, and democratic socialist tendencies - but the socialist label implied that one was still in favor of capitalism, which I am not. I live in Canada and vote for the social-democratic NDP. Stil...

I am speaking from experience. While your friend may continue to be Christian the intensity will settle down to an appropriate level, it took my friend about 6 months and every once in a while he will say something batsh*t crazy about spiritual warfare or something ultraconservative and bigoted but ...

If you don't share their level of faith then you have another thing coming. If you think street evangelicals were annoying, you have not met an aspie who's obsession is religion. They will incessantly quote scripture, judge you, try and get you to go to church/youth bible study, thank God for everyt...

I don't understand "libertarian socialism", can somebody please explain it to me? The two ideologies seem naturally opposed. Libertarianism is based on individualism and opposing government coercion and socialism is based the opposite. The early socialist ideologies, such as those of Fourier, Saint...

As in apolitical? I've not met a single self-proclaimed apolitical person who didn't have some sort of opinion on some issue(s). Just because you don't vote or follow politics does not mean you don't have an opinion about what is going on.

I want to see if there is any pattern between spectrum syndromes and political affiliation. I have a suspicion and I want to see if there is anything to it. I am aware that this is in no way scientific. Please only vote if you are at least pretty sure you fall within the spectrum. Pick the ideology ...

I have thirty something FB friends, some of which are family, a few are people I grew up with, a few are people who didn't make my life hell during HS, about 4 are people I actually hangout with and the rest are friends, family and significant others of the former. Back when I had a myspace I had un...
