| NTs would use it as a euphemism ... as in "He wasn't exactly a genius, if you know what i mean!" They'd end this sentence with a slight head nod and a simultaneous half wink to make sure others would know they really meant "He was stupid!" | Quoting Les: This mechanism of engendering fear and triggering memories of abuse in women by the simple fact of my gender depresses me greatly. I'm at a total loss how i can change this. By your excellent and insightful post, you are helping to do that (change that oppressive, patriarchal mentality... |

| Very true! I lost count how many jobs, friends etc. i've lost simply because I said something like "Well, I think you're wrong and here's why...." Instead of them listening and then saying "Interesting, not thought of that angle, but what about...." they just get all hurt and that's the end of that.... |

| What are the differences between Aspies and NT's? I think it may be one of being able to separate emotion from decision making. Let's try it with whales... My emotions say these beautiful, ancient species who as deer or dog like creatures decided to take to the oceans to make a living, deserve our c... |

When I design buildings they always have to be symmetrical and when i see things that are symmetrical but something is out of place I get annoyed because its ruined. I see symmerty as being perfect. It's a pleasure for me too... and sometim... |

| I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm starting to question any autie who says that they enjoy work and it is going well for them. Sometimes I try to make myself feel better by saying it is just because I'm female, And most people whether they admit it or not do not want to deal with anything they cannot... |
