My son is 2.5 and newly diagnosed with autism. He's been getting speech and OT from early intervention. The school district assessed him when he turned 2 and offered to give him just speech therapy, but we had to choose between that and the early intervention, and we decided to continue with early i...

You should contact the Electronic Frontier Foundation. They have lawyers that fight copyright lawsuits (among other issues), and even if they can't help you, maybe they can put you in touch with someone who can.

I was together with my boyfriend for a year before he told me that he was an aspie, and that he thought I was too. I already knew I was. I just couldn't understand how I didn't notice it about him. It's obvious now that I'm aware of it. I seem to be an autistic magnet in that I gravitate towards oth...

I cry too, if I'm angry or having a confrontation or if I'm frustrated...pretty much anything will make me cry. I can't seem to control it. I used to be unable to talk while I was crying. When I was a teenager I started writing things down so that I could explain myself while I couldn't talk, and sh...

They might have wanted to set you up for later embarrassment. Like, if someone tells you that Saturn's rings are made of plastic, and then the next day during class the teacher is reviewing Saturn and you raise your hand and tell the teacher you thought the rings were made of plastic, people would l...

My piercings: - both nipples - both ears - ear cartilage on one ear - a triangle piercing (it's a type of female genital piercing), 6 gauge I have two tattoos, but I don't want to give specifics on them because I could be identified in real life by my tattoos. One of them has to do with a life-long ...

I rock sometimes, and I tap on things and bounce my legs a lot. I chew on pretty much anything. I have a flash drive that I'm surprised is still functional because it's covered in teeth marks. When I get overwhelmed by something I tend to flap and make weird noises. I've always done that, even in pu...

I'm sorry you're going through this. Maybe you should show your staff this thread to help them understand that you're not just refusing to talk. Maybe they won't say things like that if they understand.

It isn't possible. You probably never had it to begin with. Yep. The following are dead give-aways: -I'd get headaches in quiet rooms -I had very few friends. -I love going to loud parties and concerts. I liked going out loud concerts as a teenager and I don't think this means I'm not an aspie. I'm...

You're right. For some reason I was imagining he'd get his ovaries removed as well. Oops.

I may be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure that if you get a hysterectomy, you need to take hormones, otherwise your low hormone levels will cause osteoporosis and other health problems. Doctors may be reluctant to do the hysterectomy because you aren't planning to follow up with hormones. I'm 2...

I can post my boobs! You could say I'm cheating for wearing something bra-like in this photo, but this thing is too big around the back and doesn't offer much support for the boobs because of it. Also, I'm too lazy to get a new pic without a bra but like showing people pics of my boobs (this pic is ...
