I have never smoked, consumed alcohol, or done drugs. I rarely swear. I don't consider it a moral issue (although, I do also have very strong morals). I don't do those things because the first three are unhealthy (except drinking alcohol in moderation apparently), and I just don't see the point in d...

1. I don't go to parties or other social events, so I don't often have the opportunity to talk. 2. Talking promotes friendship, and I don't really want any friends. (Although, I am happy to have a few acquaintances.) 3. Most people would not understand the things that I'd want to talk about. 4. I ha...

138 WPM, 9 of 11 correct
I have dyslexia. I had thought I had at least caught up with most people in terms of reading speed. I guess I was wrong. |

My parents often encouraged me to do social things, but they almost never forced me into anything. I don't know if that approach helped me or not, but that's the one I'd recommend. I've now learned to do social things myself sometimes. The biggest example of which is that for several semesters I too...

I've never had a meltdown and I'm not sure if I stim or not (depends on what all is considered stimming). I've never really had sensory issues either, but come to think of it, my eyes do usually bother me when I'm outside during the day and I can't stand any kind of smell. I don't know if this count...

I have a system where I just shake my head in agreement while simultaneously erasing the event from my mind. Like an Etch A Sketch! On a more serious note: I actually agree with #1, #2, #8, and #9. And, #4 has worked for me in a few cases, although I'm not sure if I got better because I got more in...

I remember saying once to someone, "do you ever feel like you want to give up speech, but are afraid that if you do, you'll somehow lose it forever?" (And they basically said back, "WTF, am I talking to a clone?") I would answer "yes" to this question. Over the years I've heard one other person say...

I thought aspies were iperlexic and auties hated to speach... so I was wrong. Several years ago, when I was still in high school, I would "monologue" to a few people pretty regularly. But for the most part, I still didn't really talk that much. Since then, I've realized that most people don't reall...

I'm a college student, and I talk to my parents fairly often on the phone. About a year ago, though, I realized that I almost don't talk at all to people in "real life". I have a regular enough schedule that I can count all the words that I say in a typical week. I typically say a minimum of 109 wor...

I think you're on to something. I definitely fit into these extremes:
Very high self-esteem
Extremely passive
Barely talking at all
Very positive
Very private
