I haven't the foggiest idea why people medicate just based on diagnosis. The parents I know that have, have done so to appease the school system or the teachers. people dont get a diagnosis then go out and say hey my kid has autism can you give him the newest drug my god how generalized is that ......

this is true.. and i think too remembering that whatever dreams we might have had dispite autism or anything else the child may not have wanted that dream anyway :) crazy to think about it that way...... hearing people mourn autism like it's a death sentence makes me want to smack someone upside the head. That woman from CBS "The Talk" i forget her name but anyway there was a segment on yesturdays show to kick off autism awareness month and she explained it perfectly the "why" for all this mourning...

well an update on this front... it turns out when DS was re evaluated two years ago he was found to have dyslexia. I asked the psychologist why it wasn't written in her report she said they dont seperate out the learning disorders they just list them all as SLD (specific learning disorder) I asked h...

my cousin had the dyspraxia type dyslexia wasn't untill college they diagnosed and treated her for it .. (relearning) she works for a bank now. (so even with issue in swapping numbers) she is succesfull now she also went on to earn a degree in college. with my son there isn't any coordination muscle...

i agree too dont get too discouraged lots can change from now till he's older and lots of things affect the reason for the scores now.
