IQ in small children is tested in two ways: verbally: asking questions and evaluating the child's replies, and performance: The child is given objects and asked to perform certain tasks. It might have changed some since I had mine done, but I remember being given differently sized wooden triangles a...

I have a large vocabulary and I know what the words mean but if asked I have a difficult time explaining in a way that people understand easily.

I am a little hard-of-hearing (maybe I have 10% or 15% hearing loss), and I do know the manual alphabet which I learned on my own, as I have had a few deaf friends in my life. I also know a few signs. There is an interpreter at my church, and I have considered learning sign language for the times w...

I do when I'm so inclined. I have a hard time getting around to settling down to start them but once I do it doesn't last long. I recall in tenth grade we were had read To Kill A MockingBird over a couple weeks with regular tests on the chapters and a final test on the book. I read it overnight. The...

Thank you for notifying me of this; i've removed the idlers from the chatroom. Because the php script reloads the page on a regular interval, idling in our chatroom sucks bandwidth. If you want to chat, thats fine, but please don't idle in the chatroom, we don't have an unlimited supply of bandwidt...

I don't use sign language. (That reminds me of this commercial my mom told me about with a deaf boy and this neighbor woman who learns sign language but gets "pie" and "dog" confused. It leads to something the woman says to the boy in sign language..."I baked a dog for you.") :!: Mich :?: Ack! I'm ...

Does anyone use sign language as a secondary form of communication? Often I find that although I have something to say the larger problem is in the act of being able to physically speak them, most often when I'm agitated or uncomfortable. So I started looking into learning sign language. I know a fe...

I often laugh at innapropriate times. I remember when I was at school, if I got in trouble and was being told off I used to find it really difficult not to laugh or at least grin. Needless to say that tended to get me into more trouble. Even now, any situation that requires seriousness often makes ...

I do. I laugh when I'm happy regardless of whether or not there's something 'funny' going on. I think people also fail to realize that what's funny is subjective as well.

I just want to be happy and be fun. I wish the same for my fellow human beings :) I'm sure I'm not the only one here who also wishes I didn't have to explain things over and over again about who I am and why I am the way I am... it's so Redundant! ;) Not just who I am and why, but I'm also tired of...

I love extremes in flavour - fermented tofu (chinese style - pongy and tasty), kimchee (but it has to be seriously hot), acha (lime in particular), tabasco. Most of the stuff I like seems to turn other peoples stomaches. I hate bland food. I used to wander around armed with a bottle of tabasco, to ...

I live off of pizza rolls. It's about the only thing I'll cook. I will eat something else if someone else makes it though. I do not eat fish, pasta, anything with sauce, crackers, anything artificially grape or orange flavored (mostly because they smell like nail polish to me), anything too hot or t...

I pace if there's no one home. I never understood why I had a terrible urge to repeatedly wander throughout the house for no reason whatsoever. It drives people nuts though, so I got used to not doing it if anyone was home. I rock when I'm in this chair. If I'm reading something I only rock or rock...
