Since no one mentioned it, The Darkness. The only game that made me really sad due to what happened in it at one part, if anyone plays it, you'll soon find out why.

Not that I have a PS3, but I can still recommend good multiplatform games! Batman: Arkham Asylum is a purely awesome game, and I believe it's also got some PS3-exclusive content. It's a bit of a brawler combined with some puzzle-solving. Some have said Fallout 3, I say Fallout: New Vegas, a much bet...

My personal take is that I got a game that was about what I was expecting, it made me laugh a bunch of times, and it has a pretty damned fun multiplayer component. Whilst I can agree that it isn't perfect, it's nowhere near as bad as some reviewers put it (3/10? That's as much of a lie as saying tha...

... I just have to complain about the graphics; they are quite choppy and buggy, if that is an appropriate way to explain graphics. I think the major problem (apart from a few places with a serious framerate dip) is inconsistency. Some things look really damned good, others... not so good. Overall ...

Been playing it since I got it in the mail. The last time I had this much pure fun with a game was Serious Sam, the one-liners are awesome and it's just great to play.

patches on console games There were buggy games going back to the 80s. PC games have had the luxury of having patching for pretty much ever. Console games haven't. I consider this a real benefit, as there are loads of pre-7th gen games that were released that definitely needed patching and the opti...

Started playing Mechwarrior 4: Mercs again. The folks at MekTek have secured permissions to release it for free (http://www.mektek.net/ - get it!), and it has their Mech Pack integrated so there's a lot of new mechs, weapons and gear in the campaign. |

Anyways, what type of game would you like to return if there was a change of it changing for the better? Tough question, since just about every genre is alive nowadays (even adventure games have gotten a comeback :D ). Of course, I may have misread you and you meant series, in which case I'd say......

I think that all Zelda games (apart from 1 and 2) suffer somewhat from that, usually because they're tied down to the linear item progression. Do dungeon, get item which allows you to access/solve the next dungeon, doesn't get much more interesting than that (but for some ungodly reason they insist...

I stopped caring altogether by Twilight Princess, and the only portable games I have are ports of 2 and 3 to the GBA (adding to that, I own copies of 1, 2, 3, OoT and MM altogether). Nintendo has this nasty habit with sequels to make the exact same game, with *one* new twist of some sort, and of cou...
