I tend to lose my interests when I'm in a depressive episode. Well i am quite sure I have been having a depressive episode for the past few days....but in general I feel like I don't really have anything I am very good at. I'm similar in that I don't really have anything I am very good at but I do ...

I have thought about harming and murdering people at various points in my life but I don't think that it is related to having autism.

Marijuana does not cause ASD and any "autistic" traits developed after using it are not true autistic traits but are effects of the marijuana. Marijuana is bad for you and will cause more harm than good in the long run. based on what exactly? Based on knowing people who were fine before they starte...

Stereotyped motor mannerisms are only one of many diagnostic criteria that would come together as autism or AS and are therefore not required for diagnosis.

Pretty soon all of these will be merged into one so the issue is fairly moot. The different diagnoses says nothing of the severity. One may have AS and have symptoms that are more serious than someone diagnosed with autism and vice versa. As I understand it: AS=autism without the language delays PD...

Autism is a spectrum. Autistic disorder, Asperger's disorder and PDD-NOS are all autism at different points on this spectrum. Autistic disorder is considered the most severe, PDD-NOS is considered next in line, then comes AS and then nonverbal learning disability is the mildest. I think this is some...

I am diagnosed with Aspergers and:
1. I had/have problems with starting or keeping up a conversation.
2. I used/use language in unusual ways (repetitive speech and making up my own words).
3. It took me longer to learn to take care of myself than most. |

I'm not afraid to join conversations however if I am talking to more than one person I find it difficult to time my responses or keep up with the conversation and that in turn makes me anxious.
