I think you nailed it when you said you think all human endeavors are an attempt to create order out of chaos. I don't think this description should be limited to people with ASD. However, it can be argued that people with ASD may be more sensitive to disorder and chaos, and therefore they have a s...

What a shame it is to see the term Libertarian appropriated by the Right Wing. Used to mean Anti-Capitalist Anarchists like Emma Goldman and Peter Kropotkin. It's a fantastic word at that. Indeed, it's a great shame it has been adopted to mean practically the opposite. Ultra-capitalism rather than ...

I see, I also have the difficulty in general with multitasking. Is Rhodiola Rosea some kind of herbal supplement? What kind of dosage do you find to be effective? My sleep schedule is pretty reasonable at the moment as I'm unemployed. I've found certain strains of weed make me feel "ret*d", as you p...

Another thing I've noticed is that I tend to have a running process of certain topics in my head which start in the morning automatically when I get up and make me feel overloaded and incapable of doing much else - mostly my special interests.

I see, that's interesting. I've heard the saying "a programmer is a tool that converts caffeine into code" I am unable to obtain Adderall since I am diagnosed with only Aspergers and no medications are listed for it in the UK officially. I think Adderall/amphetamine salts are only permitted for ADHD...

The spread of anarchism is, legitimately, one of the major concerns of the FBI. Anyone who thinks that they like anarchy should take a look at modern Syria. Syria is having a civil war. Look a Somalia to see the long term effects of Anarchism. ruveyn Very interesting PDF called Better Off Stateless...

I'm not sure where to put this so please move if innapropriate mods :) As far as I can remember I've never really been able to concentrate very well during the day unless I'm really interested in what I'm doing and have consumed a lot of caffeine. It's like my brain is thinking too fast for me to co...

I am diagnosed Aspergers and I find it very difficult to commit to starting to read anything whether a website or a book and I tend to just lose patience immediately when I try to. Sometimes I'll be able to get myself into "reading mode" and read like a whole book in the space of a couple of days bu...

I'd never smoke tobacco myself as I see no real benefit to it aside from netting greater control over the brains reward system i.e. if I get this bit of work done I'll have a smoke, etc. I'm already happy with the operation of that area of my brain - I'm pretty unmotivated most of the time but only ...

I'd definitely agree there that the "memory place" also reminds me of my own thought process. I find it beneficial to take time out to just process things and analyse them - sometimes in a meditative state, sometimes whilst I'm doing other things. Personally I think Aspergers is becoming a bit of a ...

Where's the guy that said it's all in the mind? I keep reading scientific papers that seem to hint that autistic people have differences in their endocannabinoid systems which are addressed with cannabinoids? It's physical medicine for autistic people, not just 'mind medicine'. Got any links? I've ...
