Thank you CurtisD for your response...and everyone else too. My son is the oldest of my two children...he's 16 and she's 14. She's very protective of her brother, altho they are typical siblings and act like they despise each other! I often wonder what my son will wind up doing/being when he's out o...

What an interesting topic...I've enjoyed reading all of your responses. It enlightens me so... Being the parent of an AS son who's now 17 has been a joy for me, as well as the most difficult task (if you would call it that) that I will ever face and have ever faced. I had an extremely difficult deli...

I just thought I'd say that I think you should use everything POSITIVE about the syndrome, as there are so many positive aspects. My son is 16 years old now, but since kindergarten he was diagnosed with ADHD. It wasn't until 4th grade that he was properly diagnosed, but they still had him on ritalin...

I can't thank you all enough for the input. That's exactly what I was hoping for were comments from other parents dealing with the same types of issues. Your comments are invaluable...I only wish I'd done this a long time ago. Please continue to submit more! I pray everyday for my son...and I love h...

Wow, pretty hard-hitting SilentJohn. Don't think that I deserved that attack. You're pretty angry. You know, when I posted my topic, I sure didn't expect to be attacked the way you did. Gee, I was just trying to get a little input from people that might have a little positive input on how I can bett...

As the single mother of a 16 year old with Asperger's Syndrome, I have been dealing with total guilt which seems to want to consume me as of late. My son is an extremely wonderful boy, but deals with such trials and tribulations on a daily basis, and has for as far back as I can recall. I feel guilt...

I get on this site every now and then to better understand Asperger Syndrome. My son is 16 and diagnosed with Asperger's about 6 years ago. I'm trying to get him to check this site out, but having a hard time convincing him it's a cool site. If you read around, you'll find lots of neat things to rea...

I don't mean to sound "ignorant", but I'm new here. My son is 16yo and diagnosed AS. I continually search for ways to help him and am so glad to have found this website! It's quite interesting. After reading alot of different forums, I am curious...what is an "NT"? Thank you

My son has Asperger Syndrome and is 16. He still shows more interest in games/computers than girls. He says he is just not ready yet, but will be when he's 17. |
