You need a wall calender, a portable calendar (can be old style paper one, or one on your cell phone), and a calendar on your PC. I would like to suggest however, that those of your children who are of legal age, and have their own transportation, be responsible for keeping track of their own appoi...

I keep it all in my head, on a ferris wheel. Whenever I think about scheduled events, I am standing on the platform of a ferris wheel that is slowly rotating towards me. This way, I can see the scheduled events in order at different positions on the wheel. ;) it sounds like a mind-map of sorts then...

Use a spiral notepad to keep track of your appointments or use a reminder on your cellphone. that would be good, too...write a list out, as well as on google calendar. trouble is with google, it's hard to flip back and see when was the last time X kid saw X doc, see what I'm saying? over the next t...

ohhh, I didn't think of using the reminder, I'll look at that. thank goodness the dental is able to book out a year in advance. Doc, not so much. I do use Google. two of my boys are in college, and I've set up google calendars for each of them. I have access to make appt. on their calendars...I colo...

I have a hard enough time making phone calls, but keeping track of medical appointments - mine and my three teens, makes it seem so complex. Today I called the eye doctor and the dentist, several of the appointments were overdue. I get the concept that if I'm due for dental on X date, I probably nee...

I guess theres no way to get around how time consuming this is, keeping track of the discretionaries. Ive got the core bills almost automatic now (either automatic deduct from checking or bill pay) and discretionaries come out of a separate checking. QUESTION: For those of you who keep money in rese...

| thank you SO much for your feedback - love to keep it coming!! ! here's my 'take away' so far: 1. Make lists - collaborate (not good at this) 2. Set limits - time, chores, money 3. Delegate 4. | I found camping outside and long drives caused devastating sensory overload on family trips. YES! I've been wearing the ear muff type ear protectors at home. Not only for noise reduction but also it gives me nice proprioceptive that I crave. It's habitual now. Not the nicest 'look' but it helps me.... |

I do have a small recorder, hmmm, I'll think more about it. My immediate thought is that he can't even seem to get his cell phone used properly after 16 months of ownership. He might take it with but not turn it on, or it's on at home. Frustrating. that. one thing I'm reminded of, not sure what trig...

And I work retail which makes it worse. I'm married to an Aspie, I'm a self diagnosed Aspie, one of our three teens is also. ... |

so today my husband sent me two bills that he wanted me to pay. One was a car bill he told me about that was current. Not a problem. And the second one was a $29 bill for something he had bought for our son before we took him to college campus. Did not know bill hadn't been paid. He had just sat on ...

Yes, I agree there should be some sort of protection for him so that if something happened to you, he'd be o.k.; maybe a savings account that goes into a trust. Also for yourself,( not to imply that you are heading toward separation). I remember now that I started a little savings account back then...

Has anyone gotten Power of Attorney for a spouse? I'm seriously thinking about that. Since his 401k is in his name, and it was recommended to make some changes to it, after I met with a financial advisory, I cannot talk to the financial people! I tried making notes, drawing out a script etc. but he ...

Eventually we agreed to keep everything completely separate, and I took care of things myself, resigned to that duty. It sure taught me to be very careful with money. He would regularly, voluntarily pitch in by buying a load of groceries, or clothing we needed etc. It was very stressful, and I'm gl...

You can also work out a budget and decide how much money he gets as fun money and once he spends all that fun money, he has to wait until the following month. It be his allowance. He can agree on a budget sitting at the dining room table, and two days later walk into the counseling office and when ...

The drawback was that my husband would regularly overspend on his personal account, and I had to keep moving money around to help him out, but at least I knew the mortgage was always paid. During the summer, Marcia, when I got sick and tired of worrying where the mortgage money was coming from, I r...
