My son was diagnosed PDD-NOS at 3 years of age and we finally got an Aspergers diagnosis when he was 7.

The redirection sounds like the way to go. I did notice that when he wore a ring to school he used to spin it on his finger. Yes! My son, 8, AS, has walked on his tiptoes, ESPECIALLY when barefoot since he started walking. His OT said it was a sensory issue. Hello, My 8 (almost 9) year old son is in an integrated public school setting and has been kicking his desk and disrupting class.
