Heat for me, I would say it might be affected by my being overweight but I also dislike realy warm water when showering for example. One thing that bothers the hell out of me is how warm some stores have the AC especially during the winter, I dislike shopping at certain stores because they keep it t...

I doubt most of us with Aspegers were having sex in high school. Plus I would hope most of us would look at things logically and think it is a bad idea.

Don't the Japanese have a saying that says "The Nail that sticks out should be hammered down" But the good news is the Japanese see Westerners as foriegn and weird so they might not even notice your autism. I am sure if you smile a lot and try to use a lot of Japanese words or at least make an atte...

I can't afford to drive but even if I could I do not think I could handle it. Far to much stimulus to take in at one time especially at higher speeds. Strangely I am a good map reader and my sense of direction is good so I am a good passenger. Edit: My coordination is pretty bad, I never learned to ...

My family had home computers fairly early but I never touched them we later got a mac and it didn't realy speak to me, but once we got a PC things changed around the exact same time my social world was falling apart so I retreated into it. You are looking at it from the wrong way. We lack social ski...

I bet there is a good number of autistic people on SSI/SSDI that would not be on it if it was not for NT bullying causing them to become even more autistic or destroying their will. :x Yeah. I forget who it was, but someone here (WP) once made a post about that when she gets her SSD/I check, she lo...

I had MASSIVE issues with handwriting legibility as a child and still do. I could spell fine and I could read my writing but no one else could drove the teachers mad and caused so many issues. I agree with the suggestion to teach her to type.

For me if anything it was a relief I only wish I had been diagnosed sooner. I was not diagnosed till I was 20. It felt like a great sense of "Oh huh, so that is why I am that way. Or hey maybe this is a way to make certain things better for myself and to give me a better understanding of myself." It...

For me it would fall under the category of things to make my partner happy that I don't really enjoy but they would also do things for me in turn a small sacrifice for better relationships. I am very much against organized religion but I am okay with certain churches.
