I am new here, and would love to join in the convo, but after reading a few pages I feel a bit at sea here. Any suggestions or tips on how to navigate this thread? I just turned 40 (aaaahhhhhh!! !! !) and would love to connect with some like-minded people. I have a son currently engaged in early 'in...

My sister and I had a wild time at Tivoli with some Dutch boys we met at a pub on Christianhavn. Amazing place to live - I would ...

I too just joined. I'm also a women with aspergers. I was just recently diagnosed, we do generally show different symptoms. I believe aspergers is something to be proud of. I sometimes drink the equivalent of around fifty pints a week. I'm not an alcoholic, I just like a drink. I like the cut of your jib, Tequila! I loooove beer - it is delicious, quenches my thirst and gives me a head change, so I'm a big fan. I go through periods of being enthusiastic about wi...

Yes! I have been told this my entire life. It was the worst at my last job, though, because I would rub around with a lot on my mind - just thinking of tasks - and co-workers would constantly ask me what I was so mad about, or what was wrong, or "why do you look like that?" Definitely annoying. I'm ...

Don't give up hope! I got married and had a baby at 38. I was beginning to lose hope, too. I was lucky enough to find someone who understands me and let's me be myself. Good luck! P.S. Born and raised in Madison - full of amazing people,so if that's where you are now I have hope that you'll find som...

I tend to spend so much time and mental energy 'reading' new people and getting a vibe from them that I usually forget names. I am terrible with names, but I never forget a face. I also visualize everything - quite a fertile imagination. I thought everyone was like that!

Hey everyone! I've been lurking here since my son started getting tested at 16 months, about a year ago. Since then he has been unofficially diagnosed (he is too young for official diagnosis) as showing 'red flags' of being on the spectrum. I have come to terms with it, though I still go through per...
