I started driving earlier this year. Passed the first time on both my written and driving skills test. I feel I do alright for the most part. I don't particularly care to have to switch lanes or get on the motorway (I-70, I-465, etc). I can drive the motorway safely enough, but I find it annoying (i...

A late NT friend used to use the phases "uh huh" and Oh boy" quite frequently. It about drove me crazy. I finally mentioned it to him off hand. He didn't even realise how much he used them until I brought it to his attention. He did make an effort to not use them so much.

Yes, either management or I (sometimes management fail to get to it) test my smoke alarms twice a year. I have one in my bedroom and one near the kitchen. I find the one near the kichen to be a nuisance though as anytime I make a dish that creates smoke or steam it sets the blasted thing off (yes, I...

Whilst these words don't really stay in my head often, I have found the following humourous: hoot sushi onion gazebo onomatopoeia groat baboon (babouin) As for quail..... no thanks, reminds me of a former vice president I couldn't stand, Dan Quayle. As for maverick, everytime I hear that word Sen. J...

When it comes to telephone solicitors, I very quickly say "Sorry, not interested. Thank you." and disconnect. I realise most of these people are trying to make a living or earn extra money. They take enough abuse as it is, so I have no need to be rude. I also realise that those working shouldn't tak...

Since then I have been offered the almost unlimited use of a relatives Pick Up truck. Fast forward to now......
