| I swam regularly (5 days a week) from the age of 12 to 15 and also played competitive water polo so I guess I was quite fit back then. After leaving school I didn't do much exercise apart from walking and a little cycling until I was 32 when I took up running to lose weight and get fit. I 'obsessed'... |

I had to stop watching the news and buying newspapers about 3 months ago.
I thought that journalism was supposed to be objective, but I increasingly see it as being highly subjective and is probably
responsible for most of 'society's' problems.
I don't miss it at all  |

| back in the days when i was an 'enthusiastic' runner i liked to wear a loose fitting top but not cotton as it holds a lot of sweat and can be a little uncomfortable and some shorts with either saucony or mizuno shoes but you're probably better trying a few pairs to see what pair are good for you. bl... |

in the early days of u2 they played a small gig in my town and bono stood on a chair on stage and set light to a box of matches.
early pyrotechnics i guess!!

i'm listening to and enjoying a lot of small combo jazz at the moment like brad mehldau, esbjorn svensson and vijay lyer.
right now i'm listening to the metheny, mehldau 'quartet' album for the first time and it's sounding pretty good! |
