i'm a graduate of upward bound. i did it for three years in high school. we met once a month during the school year to take field trips and a counselor came to school every week or so to see how we were doing in school. the best thing about upward bound is the summertime when we get to stay at colle...

i'm a pothead (recovering). when i smoked pot i got different effects depending on the potency, my tolerance or whether i was drinking while using (not a good idea). this is what usually happened: my body would go numb. my vision seemed clearer and sounds, especially music, seemed sharper. i couldn'...

i had a friend last year in college who was in love with x. he had to be the weirdest person i've ever met (not in a good way). he had some serious brain damage from taking so much x. it can permanently mess up your brain. i wouldn't advise taking, or at least don't take a lot of it.

i'm sorry to hear about your negative experience. i hate going out to eat too. in fact, i rarely sit down and eat at a restaurant unless i'm with at least one other person. when i ate at the college cafeteria everyday, i would usually try to sit at a table where i was acquainted with at least one pe...

i'm definitely monotone. i try to add a little emotion sometimes, especially when someone else seems excited about something or i'm reading aloud, but it always feels fake. probably not very convincing either.

i have been in love once (at least i think it was love). it started as a physical attraction, i guess you could call it an infatuation. but after i got to know the girl it just felt different, a lot stronger than any attraction i've ever felt before. it felt kind of like a tidal wave of emotions pou...

why are you writing about asperger's syndrome for a college application letter? it's probably not a good idea to talk about AS in you application. college applications are kind of like job interviews. you want to put your best foot forward. they don't know the person you are, so they will automatic...

how many people are at university because they want to be there? how many are there because they are supposed to be there? i imagine most of the heavy drinkers fall into the latter category.

i don't like george w. bush, but i don't think he's a total failure. i think he's done some good things. privatizing social security is a good idea. we have to do something before it goes bankrupt. no child left behind and school choice are good too. the tax cuts helped end the recession. he also ma...

aspergia.com does not advocate anything like aspergian supremacy. in fact, every time i've seen a person post something to that effect on the discussion board there they have been severely reprimanded. i think the site is more about forming a community where we can feel accepted for our differences ...
