Lets just hope there isn't a RightPlanet.net where it is ok to rant at Aspies... I try not to think of a divide , in much the way I try not to think of people by race and gender rather as individuals. I find this helps me because when I get upset by someone I think of them as one a**hole rather than...

And yet for all the complaining about NT one-upmanship that is a large proportion of what goes on here. Just because we don't understand one another doesn't them stupid. Yes it is difficult but just as I wouldn't want to be blamed myself, I don't think it is right to blame them either. I suspect I a...

How's about a world where Aspies and NT acknowledge each other's strengths and weaknesses and become stronger as a result? I need my NT friends, they help me mitigate my weaknesses so that I can benefit from my strengths. Without them I would really struggle, without me they wouldn't have a rather q...

Since having an AS diagnosis would bring me no support since I am a 40 year old of above average IQ - as my doctor was quick to point out - I have chosen not to fight the system to try to get a formal diagnosis. That being said I am certain that I have AS and many of the suggested ways of mitigating...

I have worked in various jobs for 20 years - some have not suited me and have been hell - others including my current role suit the manifestation of my condition, both playing to strengths and mitigating weaknesses. My role is technical and numerical - when I join in conversation it as a specialist ...

It really depends, however most times I have no reason to talk as I hide. When I am forced I can communicate but it is very difficult and makes things worse.

I cannot abide poor grammar and spelling. While I understand typos, they are not hard to spot and correct.

I am 39 and married - I said yes - I hold down a good job in a large company - I have recruited staff who make up for my inabilities and am luck that the people around me are very discreet and supportive - without them I would really struggle. My wife does virtually all of the house and kids admin -...

I think it is only right to point out that we Aspies don't have the monopoly when it comes to getting s**t on. It is the nature of people (including aspies) to try to thrive at the expense of others. Need I point out racism, sexism, religious intolerence and many other similar forms of hatred. If so...

I have pizza every Saturday night if possible - it has to be cooked at home - I get anxious if I don't have it. Otherwise I have eaten the same lunch for most days for the last 3 months. I don't worry if I cannot have it but it is what I enjoy, it makes me smile when I find it. I will eat almost any...
