My son, age 11, diagnosed with Aspergers in '09, started hitting himself in the past few months. When confronted about why he'd shown negligence in some skill he'd already mastered (laundry, dishes, etc.), he would pound himself on the forehead repeatedly, and yell, "Because I'm stupid, I'm stupid, ...
